Our Library
Welcome to Salvatorian College Library
The Salvatorian College Library is a modern and well-resourced environment. It is a vibrant hub of physical and digital learning space where reading, research, thinking, imagination and creativity are central to our students’ information-to-knowledge journey and to their personal, social and cultural growth.
It is situated in the North Block and pupils and staff can borrow books, eBooks and audiobooks, consult reference texts, magazines and our collections of graphic novels including manga and anime.
There are over 50 dedicated study spaces in the main Library area, 36 of which have individual LED lighting and power/USB sockets. The area is further complemented with 3 Reading Pods seating up to 6 students. The adjoining Computer Suite hosts 21 computers and can also accommodate individual study/revision space for a further 14 students.
Library stock is constantly updated and students are encouraged to request books they would like to read to ensure the stock remains current. They are also given opportunities to feedback ideas and suggest continual service developments that best meet their needs.
The Library is open from 7:45am every day and is staffed by Librarian Mrs Wood.
e-Platform
There is a wealth of learning resources available for students in the Salvatorian Library, these resources are further complemented by a fantastic e-platform with other 3000 titles.
1. To access the Library via browser > Click Here < Login using Single Sign On with your school login details, eg. (username@students.salvatorian.harrow.sch.uk) and password
2. To access as a stand-alone app option on a device>scan the QR code>download>select Salvatorian College>Login using Single Sign On with your school login details, eg. (username@students.salvatorian.harrow.sch.uk) and password

The App will only contain and search for ebooks and Audiobooks media (not physical books within the Library- you must enter via a browser for a full search)
There are options to change the format and settings to your personal preference, eg, male/female voice, speed of reading, colour of background, font, thesaurus, etc. The e-platform is also available to translate into Spanish, French and Italian. There is also a dyslexia friendly option.

All e-platform media have a loan period of 13 days. You can borrow online, instantly download to your device and return at your leisure. All at the click of a button.
Students are allowed to take out up to three books at a time for a period of two weeks. (We use discretion and some boys do borrow more than this limit). Email reminders are sent out if the books are not returned by the due date. Books can be reserved.
There is also an active Wishlist in the Library for book requests, so stock is both current and updated on a regular basis.
