Super Curriculum
What is the Super Curriculum?
The Super Curriculum is a voluntary extension of learning designed to help students go beyond the classroom. It gives them the chance to challenge themselves, explore new ideas, and make connections between different subjects.
Its main purpose is to:
•Stretch and challenge higher attainers.
•Widen horizons by encouraging curiosity and independent exploration.
•Build cultural capital through enriching, subject-linked tasks.
•Encourage creativity and deeper thinking in a way that is recognised but not pressurised.
The Super Curriculum is designed to be high impact but low pressure. It allows students to choose meaningful opportunities that interest them, explore topics in greater depth, and share their achievements with teachers, peers, and even in assemblies.
By taking part, students can develop skills that go beyond exam preparation – such as independence, problem solving, critical thinking, and confidence – all while building a love of learning.
Students can choose to submit a response using the link on the Super Curriculum homepage.
