Safeguarding
Safeguarding Statement
Salvatorian College is committed to providing an environment where children can learn, achieve and excel, and where they feel safe and listened to.
Safeguarding our students is a vital part of our work and we strive to ensure children have positive relationships with each other and our school community. (Our full Safeguarding Policy can be found under the Policies Tab on our home page).
We encourage all our school community to speak up if they feel they, or others, are at risk of harm.
We endeavour to ensure all staff are sensitive to issues of race, religion, culture, gender and diversity, however these issues should never be a barrier to sharing and reporting concerns about children.
We are very keen to build strong relationships with parents so that we can work together to ensure the necessary support is offered at the right time. We understand that any family can have periods of challenge – and that sometimes this is unexpected. We have a wealth of safeguarding experience, resources and links to organisations that can help safeguard your son. Some of these links are included below.
Our team of dedicated safeguarding staff, who work as part of the wider pastoral provision, are: Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) – Mr Cooper; Deputy Safeguarding Leads – Mrs Griffin and Mrs Kilroy. They can be contacted via the main school office phone number, or on the following email address: safeguarding@salvatorian.harrow.sch.uk Alternatively pupils are encouraged to speak to their Form Tutors or their Heads of Year.
If there is anything you want to discuss in relation to your child’s welfare, safety at school, emotional/mental health please do not hesitate to contact us.
