Transition to Year 7

We understand that transition from primary to secondary can be a nervous time for pupils and parents alike. Our aim is to ensure the process is as smooth and enjoyable as possible, so your son feels welcomed and ready to start his new school in September.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school via admissions@salvatorian.harrow.sch.uk if you would like to discuss any aspect of the transitions process.

Transition to Year 7 in September 2021 - Timetable

Ongoing throughout the Autumn Term

Physical or virtual tours of the school with the Head of School or Head of Year 7 are available for any prospective parent. Click here to register for a tour.

March 2021 - Open Day

There will be another chance to tour the school in March, with pupils and senior staff on hand to answer any questions.

Ongoing throughout the Summer Term

Ms Shamash, Head of Year 7, will make contact with you to answer any questions you or your son may have. If you have not yet had a call, please feel free to email admissions@salvatorian.harrow.sch.uk with a contact telephone number and she will be in touch.

Ms Shamash will also be visiting primary schools (regulations allowing) with her team to run special transition workshops.

You can view a recording of last year's webinar here

July 2021 - School Visit

All those who have accepted a place at Salvatorian College will be sent a link to book a time to visit the school, if they wish, in July. Teachers will be on hand to meet you face-to-face and answer any questions you might have. Packs of transition resources will be available on the day for you to take away.

September 2021 - Induction Days

These will be the first days of term for new Year 7 pupils. Only Year 7 will be in school on these days and the purpose is to familiarise the pupils with their teachers, the school routines, and to give them space and time to start socialising and making new friends.

Transition Resources

Packs of transition resources - including a reading book, English summer homework, Maths summer homework, and a Student Handbook - will be available to pick up in July. Those who are unable to attend on that day will be posted the pack.
